While our ancestors wandered for 40 years, we gathered together as 40 Jews with the Torah in our arms and took a sacred spiritual walk on the Hemlock Trail.  We prayed and sang and shared and witnessed one another's insights, thoughts, and prayers.  The call of the shofar brought us back from our personal talk with God.  We read Torah on a rock using a stick as the yad.  May the spirituality that was awakened within us all ignite a year of spiritual well-being and peace.
