Social Action

For over 50 years the Jewish Fellowship has been a community asset providing services for those in need at times of loss as well as providing a community in which to celebrate times of joy. The foundation of this community has been the volunteers throughout these past 50 years who have been committed to the community and serving the needs of all. Following Judaism's teaching of "tikkun olam", our people have always valued trying to help to repair the world. Should you wish to help others – either through sharing your time, skills, or financial support, her are some ways to contribute:

JFHF Chai & Chesed Club (Hebrew words for “Life” and “Compassion”)

Collecting Toiletries & Baby Products

We are collecting much-needed toiletries and baby items that are not covered by local food banks or food stamps and distributing them through The Church at Hemlock Farms and Saint John Neumann RC Church. Please drop off clean, unexpired, unopened items at JFHF whenever the building is open, and do not leave donations outside.

Mazon Mondays

We partner with the Church of Hemlock Farms to do our part in feeding those with food insecurity. If you are willing to join a dynamic group of volunteers the third Monday of every month from 2:00-3:00 PM to help make healthy bag lunches please contact Diane Hirsch or Ina Filip.
